PoetLove #16 – NO FEAR IN LOVE

This is the last of sixteen poems that I wrote everyday (for sixteen days) for someone special.

This one is like a rap at the end with all the lines rhyming. I hope you enjoy reading it.

What are you so worried about?

Why do I see fear in your eyes?

It makes me wonder why the cloud,

Showers your tears when I’m no lies.

Why do I get scared, then?

To tell everyone I’m in love.

What am I afraid of when,

Good lord has showered blessings from above.

Let us vouch – we fear no more,

Let us take an oath to trust.

Let us dwell not in moments of sore,

But only good times, and times just.

We can enjoy the daylights,

And rest soundly in sweet nights,

No fear in love – no petty fights,

Let us cuddle and hug each other tight.

Surely, awaits us a future distant yet bright,

When we put in effort and might,

To reach another level, another height,

In love, let us promise to write,

Of our love story for it may guide,

Many to come, many out of sight,

Let them relate to our story and not hide,

Their fears they bury deep inside.

No fear in love – only love and pride.

PoetLove #13 – YOU’LL FIND ME

This is the thirteenth of sixteen poems that I wrote everyday (for sixteen days) for someone special.

Every day in search of something,

Sometimes explicit, sometimes hidden.

We look up to people umpteen,

Only to stop when we’re bed-ridden.

We take up questions and try,

Finding answers to all of them.

Some questions are yours, some mine,

Some answers subtle, some so lame.

You have a lot to ask,

I have a lot to tell.

We’ll slowly unveil our mask,

And no one shall ever compel.

I will show you my fears,

My doubts, my smile, and my joy.

I will be there to wipe your tears,

For you, I’d be the perfect boy.

Then you’ll stop asking me,

Because we would be a complete two.

When still you’ll search for me,

You’ll find me inside you.

PoetLove #12 – THE MOMENT OF OUR LIVES

This is the twelfth of sixteen poems that I wrote everyday (for sixteen days) for someone special.

This one is more like a song than a poem. I hope you like it.

Believe me or not – it’s true,

Every word here – it’s for you.

For you, O’ darling, my heart beats,

Waiting for the day when we’ll meet.

I see you only in pictures you send,

If only, to you, someone would lend.

An internet connection with good speed,

I could see you in a live feed.

CHORUS: Yes, we do, and we live for,

The moment of our lives.

Imagining you rushing through the door,

Returning to your beehive.

Believe me or not – it’s true,

Every word here – it’s for you.

The smile on your face, just for me,

Makes me smile back, makes me jolly.

I see you only in your photographs,

And think how you’d look, when you’d laugh.

Till the day that we meet, I’ll wait,

Never say never, maybe a little late.

CHORUS: Yes, we do, and we live for,

The moment of our lives.

Imagining you rushing through the door,

Returning to your beehive.

PoetLove #11 – EVERYONE SAYS YOU’RE BEAUTIFUL

This is the eleventh of sixteen poems that I wrote everyday (for sixteen days) for someone special.

Never did this happen in my past,

Never with any of my partners.

But this time, everything seems anew,

This is what I was waiting for.

You broke the initial letter constraint,

And started with a different letter.

I always thought they were very good,

But, with you, it is even better.

Everyone says that you’re beautiful,

Never did the majority even agree.

So I’ll do something that I never did,

For you, my sweetheart, I’ll fall on my knees.

Never in my past did every person,

Accept my girl whole-heartedly.

I sometimes regret my decisions,

But I learnt a lot, so let them be.

This time, the response from dear ones,

Has been positive and overwhelming.

Everyone says that you’re beautiful,

But do I deserve this beauty, tell me?

Everyone tells me you’re beautiful,

Everyone tells me you’re smart.

But babe, there’s one thing I need to know,

Will I always be your sweetheart?

PoetLove #9 – IN MY ARMS

This is the ninth of sixteen poems that I wrote everyday (for sixteen days) for someone special.

Empty arms on a cold Sunday,

I am waiting for my love.

Far away she is lonely; preparing,

For the time when push comes to shove.

Thirteen degrees on the meter,

And curtailed rays of the sun.

Only imagining seeing each other,

With every rise of the dawn.

Our love is worth every meet,

Which we can just treasure.

But there is no device or instrument,

For our worth to be measured.

Oh! How I wish you were here,

In the embrace of my charm.

I would keep you tight and close,

And never let you go off my arms.

I know that every day of our lives,

Is not the same – no surprise.

Yet our love is so magical,

Makes every day as beatific as your eyes.

After every winter, comes the spring,

And again it starts to warm.

Till then, I’ll be waiting for the day,

When you’d come into my arms.

PoetLove #7 – DEALING WITH MY THOUGHTS!

This is the seventh of sixteen poems that I wrote everyday (for sixteen days) for someone special.

Why do I tire my brain,

With nonsensical, idiotic thoughts?

When I know that you love me,

And I, too, love you a lot.

I just so happens unnaturally,

And it pisses me off to do that.

It isn’t only me that I hurt,

But even you who I make sad.

Sometimes I think to myself,

Have I been caught up in the moment?

Am I in it only for the sake of it?

Or do I really, really want it?

We feel sad, we lose control,

We step back and talk no more.

But love is and will always be,

We come closer, more than before.

These petty arguments will be,

As they are with every other couple.

But let us deal through these,

And pass them with a swift riffle.

PoetLove #6 – IF YOU COULD SEE ME NOW!

This is the sixth of sixteen poems that I wrote everyday (for sixteen days) for someone special.

Here I am, I call it off,

Bidding goodbye to my laptop.

Sitting straight, facing the wall,

Inscribing a new poem of love.

I could’ve easily gone to sleep,

But instead I chose to write.

Because you can take a look at this,

Read my poem, you might.

Somehow I feel you know,

what goes on inside my mind.

If you could just see me now,

Everything is of a different kind.

The words you speak to me,

Make me want to talk more.

If you could see me now,

I don’t even care about my throat so sore.

I sit with your picture by my side,

Then look to God and wonder how.

And I adore and admire and adorn,

A smile, if you could only see me now!

PoetLove #5 – EVERYTHING BUT YOU

This is the fifth of sixteen poems that I wrote everyday (for sixteen days) for someone special.

Of late, I’ve been too busy,

Gazing at the stars at night.

My preoccupation with darkness,

Has unarguably dimmed the light.

At night, I see twinkling stars,

And beautifully scattered particles.

And I turn back suddenly,

When, due to the wind, my book riffles.

I close the book and keep,

A crystal on top of it.

Then I resume staring at the sky,

The light goes off; a candle is lit.

I turn on the soothing music,

And plug in earphones to listen.

Such a beautiful combination of soft music,

The beaming moon, and stars that glisten.

But there’s something missing,

And the lovely cloud drops a shower.

It completes my ninety percent,

Yet the night is still sour.

I can only wish and imagine,

That you’d grace this night.

But I can only wish – not beget,

Oh dear! Such is my plight.

PoetLove #4 – WHEN WE MEET

This is the fourth of sixteen poems that I wrote everyday (for sixteen days) for someone special.

Seven seas away from you,

I sit back and think of the day.

When we shall meet each other,

And all the sorrow will walk away.

When I look into your eyes,

In the pictures that you send.

I imagine that when we meet,

I’ll look into them till heaven’s end.

Your voice is so soothing,

That even when I’m too tired.

You make me feel happy and fresh,

And in my brain, that’s hard-wired.

We talk about mystery, love,

Future, past, and the things we eat.

But certainly we would be dumb,

For a few minutes when we’ll meet.

You won’t let me go, surely,

And I’ll do the same, I promise.

After a year, when we’ll meet for the first time,

Just your sight would eclipse a kiss.

I’ll take you in my embrace,

And ensconce you in my chest.

Then, when we look at each other,

Let’s forget the world; leave out all the rest.

PoetLove #3 – WHAT YOU MEAN TO ME

This is the third of sixteen poems that I wrote everyday (for sixteen days) for someone special.

Every moment now seems so long,

And I can relate us to every song.

Although often we get very busy,

I want to tell what you mean to me!

Days pass by unbearably late,

The night is too young to go to bed.

I count the clock ticking 1, 2, 3,

Reminding myself of what you mean to me!

Romeo and Juliet may have loved,

And death is where they stopped.

But even death wants us to be,

Cause it knows what you mean to me!

No rain can wipe away your thought,

From my heart which beats a lot.

I want you to come and see,

Then you’ll know what you mean to me!

I love you from a distance far,

But I feel that wherever you are.

You love me the same as I do,

That what you mean to me, I mean to you too!
